How it works

Your wallet approves.
Your device trades.

Only your wallet moves funds. A separate, limited key keeps order signing on this device without turning it into a wallet key.

Connect or create a wallet

Use an embedded wallet through hosted sign-in or connect a compatible wallet you already use.

Approve a scoped trading key

Your wallet signs one EIP-712 authorization. The Ed25519 private key is generated and retained on this device.

Fund the PERPL account

Account creation, token approval, deposits, and withdrawals are explicit wallet-authorized transactions.

Trade and manage

The scoped key signs read and trade requests to PERPL. It can place and manage orders, but it cannot transfer value.

Withdraw with the wallet

Value movement remains outside the trading key's authority and returns to the user's wallet approval path.

Long / short

Choose a direction.

Long expresses a view that price will rise. Short expresses a view that it will fall.

Collateral

Back the position.

Collateral supports the position and absorbs losses. Available collateral changes as P&L and fees change.

Leverage

Control more exposure.

Leverage magnifies gains and losses. It also brings the liquidation price closer.

Mark price

Reference account risk.

The protocol uses a reference price for unrealized P&L and liquidation calculations; it may differ from the last fill.

Funding

Keep prices aligned.

Periodic payments between long and short positions help keep a perpetual near its reference market.

Liquidation

Protect system solvency.

If collateral falls below maintenance requirements, a position may be reduced or closed by the protocol.

FAQ

The important questions.

Is Amethyst the PERPL exchange?

No. Amethyst is an independent mobile product and interface. PERPL provides the exchange infrastructure, market data, account APIs, and execution. Monad is the network where that activity settles.

Does the private beta use real money?

No. The current private beta is limited to Monad Testnet and uses test assets with no cash value. The site will clearly change its environment label before any production release.

Can the device trading key move funds?

No. It is enrolled with read and trade scope. PERPL API keys cannot withdraw or transfer funds regardless of scope. Deposits and withdrawals remain wallet-authorized actions.

Does Amethyst guarantee order execution?

No. Execution depends on network, protocol, API, market, liquidity, and order conditions. Amethyst exposes state and recovery paths; it cannot guarantee a fill, price, or outcome.

How do I revoke access?

You can revoke the trading session from Amethyst settings. If the server cannot confirm it, Amethyst removes the key from that device and directs you to PERPL's key-management page to finish server-side revocation.
